Tanmay Shursen Ghogare

Hello, I am Tanmay Shursen Ghogare from Dharashiv, Maharashtra. I have completed my Bachelor’s in BSc.CS and am currently pursuing an MBA. I am also involved in farming. I used to be a very quiet person, needing time to mix with people and struggling to express my ideas. I used to take a lot of time to make decisions. My relationship with my father was not that good, and I was always afraid to talk to him.

I was introduced to "Let's Make a Difference" by my cousins Akshata Ghogare and Prathamesh Kadam. The first conference I attended was the Jamshedpur Youth Conference 2023. Before attending, I was confused about whether to go or not, but I finally decided to attend, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Before the conference, I was also in an overthinking state and had trouble making decisions. I had fear while speaking to my father. But during the family session, all my fears went away. That’s the magic of "Let's Make a Difference." I used to think that I had all four values—purity, honesty, unselfishness, and love—within me. However, when I introspected, I realized that I did not embody these values 100%. During the 4-day conference, I wrote down all the negative things I had done and promised myself to follow these four values by giving my 100%. After the conference, I started helping my father in farming in a positive way and began following the quiet time practice.

In 2024, I got a chance to volunteer at the Tenkasi Youth Conference. The conference was an enriching experience for me. I learned a lot about how things are planned a day before the conference to ensure smooth running and how teamwork is done. It was heartening to see the students engage quietly yet interactively in all the sessions, reflecting their eagerness to learn. During the conference, students actively shared their thoughts and concerns during group discussions. As the conference concluded, I noticed a visible change in the students, as they confidently shared their experiences with the entire group. But I also realized one thing during the conference: I need to improve my expression skills.

After the Tenkasi conference, I gained more energy to pursue my goals, maintain healthy relationships, and meet new friends. I started planning the next day in advance. I began reporting everything I was doing in my life and farming, started reading books, and began spreading the values of "Let's Make a Difference" to my friends and family.

Day by day, I am learning new things and trying to be a better person. I have learned many things from "Let's Make a Difference," and I will continue learning more. I will also always try to volunteer in at least one conference a year. Special thanks to Viral Sir, my cousins, and the "Let's Make a Difference" team.

Warm Regards,

Tanmay Shursen Ghogare
